We are Aleix and Raquel, cooks by trade and by heart.

Fate brought us together in the same kitchen, a place that, for each of us, was much more than a workspace: it was a sanctuary. Without knowing each other, we carried the same dream. It was there, among flames, silence, and shared gestures, that our paths crossed. Since then, we've moved forward hand in hand.

It was in this demanding environment that we honed our craft, within prestigious establishments where discipline, high standards, and consistency are essential.

Thanks to the values we acquired in these exceptional kitchens, Calendula was born to leave our own mark and give a soul to the kind of cuisine we love: sincere and vibrant, respectful of the product, the seasons, and rooted in a mindful, zero-waste approach.

We also take great care in supporting local producers, whose expertise and passion nourish each of our creations.

Above all, we believe that food is a connection. A universal language that brings people together.

Raquel is also trained in both wine and artisan bread. She sees in bread and wine two worlds intimately connected by fermentation, time, and the hand of the maker. This link speaks of balance, attentiveness, and harmony.

Aleix, for his part, loves being behind the stove where fire comes alive, guided by instinct, technique, and a deep respect for the product. Together, we craft each event with care, attentiveness, and precision.
